APC chieftain laments plight of ‘political prisoners’
A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and governorship aspirant in  Ekiti State come 2018, Engr. Kayode Ojo, yesterday visited some detained members of the party at the Ado Ekiti prisons where he expressed concern over their plight.
The detainees, who were incarcerated over the murder of a former state chairman of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), Chief Aderiye Omolafe, include the leader of the Oodua Peoples’ Congress (OPC) in the state,  Prince Niyi Adedipe, aka Apase; Rotimi Olabiwonnu (Mentilo), Sola Adenijo (Solar), Bayo  Aderiye (Ojuigo), Ajayi Kayode, Sola Durodola, and OSI Farotimi.
Ojo, who also donated food items and cash for the welfare of the immediate family members of the detainees, also promised to put up a committee to liaise with their families to know more of their pressing needs that require urgent attention.
The chieftain who expressed shock by how he met the prisoners, expressed resentment over alleged victimisation, assuring that the party would take all necessary legal and administrative steps to addressing the alleged injustice against them.
