I never contemplated being Obiano’s running mate — Ezeemo

The gubernatorial aspirant of the Progressives People Alliance (PPA) in Anambra State, Chief Godwin Ezeemo, has said that he never contemplated being the mrunning mate to Governor Willie Obiano in the November 18 gubernatorial election.

He said he was severally offered the opportunity of being the deputy governor in the past but refused, wondering why he should accept it now.

Addressing members of the Anambra State Correspondents’ Chapel of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) in Awka, Ezeemo debunked rumour making the rounds that he had engaged in series of discussions with the governor on the position, describing the rumour as the “handwork of my political enemies.”

He said the rumour was targeted at deceiving people not to trust and rely on him.
