The Katsina State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has constituted a seven-member investigative panel led by Dr Rabe Nasir to probe the crisis that took place during its zonal rally in Funtua

A statement issued by the state chairman of the party, Shitu Shitu, said the committee was set up to investigate the immediate and remote causes of the crisis and submit recommendations to avoid future occurrences.

He said the committee was to liaise with APC stakeholders in the zone in order to understand the nature of the conflict and to co-opt any individual that may assist in the cause of their work.

Other members of the committee are Sulaiman Namadi, Mamman Yaro, Isa Ahmed, Usman Zango, Bala Tsanni and Sani Aliyu.

It could be recalled that the zonal rally was disrupted by violence at the concluding part of the gathering when some members of the National Assembly were physically assaulted by irate youth.
