Bwari boss to improve infrastructure
The Chairman of
Bwari Area council, FCT, Mr Musa Dikko, has toured the 10 wards in the
council promising to improve infrastructure.
Dikko, who led the council’s executive on the tour, made the promise when they visited Ushafa.
The wards visited were: Igu, Kawu, Usuma, Kuduru, Dutse, Ushafa, Bwari central, Kubwa, Byazin and Shere.
He said the aim of the visit to the
communities was to render account of his stewardship in the past one
year and to get feedback towards moving the communities forward.
He promised to focus more on the
construction of roads and modern markets, building of mosques and
overhaul of all health centres in the area.
Dikko also said the failure by past
administrations of the area council to integrate and empower the
traditional institution was part of the causes of lack of visible
development in the communities.
Dikko, therefore, promised to review
upwards, the monthly stipends of N10,000 paid to traditional rulers to
N20,000 with the aim of encouraging them to key into the council’s
development efforts. (NAN)
