Governor Jibrilla suspends two council chairmen
The state Assembly had on Wednesday passed a resolution asking the governor to suspend the Yola North chairman, Mahmud Abba who is being investigated by the House over allegations of financial impropriety as well as that of Lamurde Local
Government, Vratti Nzonzo who is accused of insubordination after he refused to work with a new education secretary posted to his council.
"His Excellency,Senator Muhammad Umar Jibrilla (BINDOW) has approved with immediate effect the resolution of the Adamawa State House of Assembly today being the 26th of April,2017 the suspension of Chairman of Yola North Local Government, Mahmud Mamman Abba and the Chairman Lamurde Local Government, Honourable Nzonzo Vratti for the period of twelve weeks pending further investigation by the House Committee on Rules, Business, Ethics and Privileges and Petition accordingly".
