Drake to Star in British Drama ‘Top Boy’ With Skepta

Drake is set to continue his long-standing Anglophilia by playing a significant role in cult British drama Top Boy. According to The Daily Mirror, Drake has purchased the rights to the show and met up with the producers of the show last week to talk about what role he will play in the show.
Ashley Walters, who plays the lead role Dushane in the show, told the paper, “We met up to start talking about the show and we are working out a role for him. He loves acting, of course he wanted a part…. He’s going to be really hands on and is getting stuck into it.” Drake has often said that he could be returning to acting, telling W Magazine: “Although music is my focal point now, I’d love to do a film. That was the life that I lived before and it would be interesting to live it again.” Drake used to of course star in Canadian soap Degrassi: The Next Generation.
Fans can expect the “Top boy getting waved the mandem” in the new series, which will appear on Netflix in 2018. BBK head honcho Skepta is also set to star after previously stating his involvement with the programme in an interview with Zane Lowe
