CNPP worried over conflicts in northern Nigeria
Northern chapter of Conference of Nigerian Political Parties (CNPP) has
expressed worry over incessant conflicts in the region.
The group said the manipulation of ethnicity and religion by politicians had further divided the people of the North.
A statement by the chairman of the
Northern chapter, Alhaji Umar Faruq Ibrahim, said the panacea to the
conflicts lied in paradigm shift and attitudinal reorientation.
The CNPP also said the well-being of
President Muhammadu Buhari remained a matter of national interest and
urged Nigerians to pray for him.
“On the other hand, as a people with a
common destiny, we need to constantly include President Muhammadu Buhari
in our prayers for quick recovery,” the statement said.
