2019: Forum roots for Sule Lamido alternative
Ahead of the 2019 general elections, the Nigerian Professionals Forum (NPF) has urged Nigerians to consider the presidential aspiration of a former Governor of Jigawa State, Sule Lamido.
The group said considering his vast experience, Lamido had what it takes to reverse the alleged “slipping fortunes of the country.”
Convener of the forum, Arch. Usman Yusuf, made the call yesterday in Abuja at a two-day Think-Thank Delegates Conference with the theme ‘The Future of Nigeria Ahead 2019.’
He said the essence of the forum was not to commence campaign for Lamido but to brainstorm on the state of the nation, especially the socio-political and economic plight of the masses, whose fortunes he said had been on the downward trend in the last two years.
