Don’t sell empowerment tools, Dogara urges constituents
The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara, has advised the constituents of Kabba-Bunu/Ijumu Federal Constituency of Kogi State to use the empowerment tools given to them by their representative to create more wealth rather than selling them for quick money.
Dogara gave the advise over the weekend in Kabba, Kogi State, at the commissioning of projects and presentation of empowerment materials provided for the constituents by Rep. Tajudeen Yusuf, representing Kabba-Bunu/Ijumu Federal Constituency at the National Assembly.
Earlier, Hon. Yusuf said he embarked on the provision of the empowerment items and construction of skills acquisition centres to improve the lives of the people.
The items distributed to constituents included tricycles, motorcycles, grinding machines, sewing machines, generators, hair dryers, clippers, mechanical tools and carpentry tools, among others.
Also commissioned during the occasion included Information Communication Technology Centres built at St. Monica’s College, Kabba, and Okoro-Gbede, as well as skills acquision centres at Okebukun, Okedayo and Iyara.
