Kano 2nd economic summit commences tomorrow
The second edition of Kano Economic and Investment Summit is to commence tomorrow (Tuesday), Daily Trust can report.
The summit with the theme; “Transforming the Economy of Kano state: Turning Challenges into Opportunities” is aimed at unvailing sound economic blueprint for the state.
The summit would provide platform for business discussion between Kano businessmen and foreign investors and business organizations.
Various categories of indigenous businessmen, women and organizations would participate in the summit.
Addressing a press conference on Saturday, the state Deputy Governor, Professor Hafiz Abubakar said, various economic and investment experts would make presentations at the forum with a view to unlocking economic opportunities for the people of Kano.
Professor Abubakar said the Acting President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo would attend the summit.
It would be recalled that the first edition of Kano economic summit was conducted under the regime of a former governor of the state, Malam Ibrahim Shekarau.
