Kalu tasks Ikpeazu on inclusiveness

Ex - governor of Abia State, Dr Orji Kalu, has urged Governor Okezie Ikpeazu to run an all-inclusive government so as to take the state to enviable heights.
He said Ikpeazu should place the interest of Abia people above selfish ambitions, adding that a government that carried everybody along would succeed.
The former governor made the remarks yesterday while speaking with a cross-section of journalists at his Igbere country-home.
Kalu said the recent Supreme Court judgement which affirmed the victory of Governor Ikpeazu at the 2015 governorship poll was received by Abians as the will of God.
He said regardless of political differences, Abia State indigenes and residents must support the administration of Governor Ikpeazu in his efforts at transforming the state.
“For the state to move forward, Governor Ikpeazu must be magnanimous in his victory by demonstrating the spirit of sportsmanship in his endeavours.
“Politics is not a do-or-die affair and as such, Abians, irrespective of party affiliations, should cooperate with the governor in making Abia State the envy of other states.
“I am impressed with the maturity demonstrated by Chief Uche Ogah after the Supreme Court verdict that affirmed Governor Ikpeazu’s victory,” he said.
