JIBWIS tasks traditional rulers on Da’awah activities
National President of Izalatul-Bidi-ah Waikamatul-Sunnah (JIBWIS), Sheikh Abdullahi Bala Lau, has urged the traditional rulers in the FCT to be committed to Muslim da’awah activities.
Lau, who made the call when he led other board members of JIBWIS on a courtesy visit to the Agora of Zuba, Alhaji Mohammed Bello Umar, at his palace on Saturday, said the need for traditional rulers to give their support to da’awah activities was to enhance and encourage Muslim brothers and sisters to boost teachings of Islam.
He said the national body of JIBWIS was on tour across the 19 northern states including the FCT and he urged traditional rulers to join hands with clerics in order to also advise JIBWIS on the way forward.
The JIBWIS president, who said he was elated for the warm reception accorded to him and his members, added that traditional rulers were the ones who always devoted their time to activities of Islam both day and night.
Responding, the Agora of Zuba, Alhaji Mohammed Bello Umar, thanked the JIBWIS leaders for their visit and pledged to support the activities of da’awah in his chiefdom.
City News reportS that JIBWIS also paid a similar visit to the chief of Jiwa, Alhaji Idri Musa, at his palace.
