Four nabbed over theft of iron rods
The police in Gwarinpa have arrested four people including two guards attached to a construction site on First Avenue, Gwarinpa, for allegedly stealing 165 pieces of iron rods.
Police sources said two suspects were arrested for stealing while the other two were arrested for receiving properties suspected to have been stolen.
The guards were arrested last Tuesday.
The Gwarinpa Divisional Police Officer, CSP Nuruddeen Sabo, said some of the iron rods were recovered from those they sold them to in Jabi and Dei Dei.
He said two people suspected to have bought the iron rods were in custody and that they would be prosecuted.
“We have recovered 30 pieces from Dei Dei, the remaining is at Jabi, we are still investigating,” he said.
