Fayemi’s stewardship as minister a waste — Fayose

Governor Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti State, yesterday, said his predecessor and now Minister of Mines and Steel Development, Dr Kayode Fayemi, has failed to use his position to take development to Ekiti.
Fayose, therefore, asked the people of the state to ask Fayemi to show his score card to prove he was a worthy ambassador of Ekiti in Abuja.
Fayose made the assertion while interacting with youths between the ages of 18 and 22 at the government house in Ado Ekiti.
He alleged that as a man supervising the solid minerals sector, Fayemi had not impacted positively on the state, particularly in helping to tap the huge mineral potentials of the state.
When asked whether he had intention of leaving the PDP considering its protracted crisis, Fayose said there was no law that  prohibited him from defecting  if the PDP could not be reformed  to advance his political frontiers in 2018.
“If they are bent on destroying the PDP, let them go ahead but I will never have anything to do with Senator Ali Sheriff. The party is like a vehicle and the vehicle can’t be more important than the driver,” Fayose said.
