Everton unveils home kit for 2017-18 season

Everton have revealed their home kit for the 2017-18 season, with club icon Dixie Dean on the back of the shirt and new sponsor SportPesa on the front.
The latest Umbro design also sees the return of the classic diamond pattern down both the sleeves of the shirt and on the shorts.
At a launch event at the Invisible Wind Factory in Liverpool on Tuesday night, club captain Phil Jagielka and Idrissa Gueye sported the stylish new strip in front of hundreds of lucky supporters.
The kit – which is comprised of a traditional royal blue shirt with navy panels, white shorts and white socks – has been unveiled as part of the Together Blue campaign, which celebrates the strong local contingent in the Blues squad.
Ross Barkley, Leighton Baines and Tom Davies are first-team regulars under Ronald Koeman, while Jonjoe Kenny and Joe Williams have featured in the squad in recent weeks.
Academy graduate Davies, who picked up three awards at the club’s end-of-season Dixies bash last week, said: ‘I remember sitting in the Gwladys Street as a kid and being in awe of the stadium and the team – and now I’m out on the pitch myself wearing the shirt.
‘The pride all us local lads have playing for Everton can’t really be described – but I really feel like I’m representing the fans when I pull on the Blue shirt. I know exactly how privileged I am to be able to put on the Everton shirt.’
The Together Blue campaign has been inspired by club legend Dean, who famously scored 60 goals during the 1927-28 season on his way to becoming Everton’s all-time leading marksman.
A small motif of Dean features on the back of the neck of the shirt after Evertonians voted for it through the club’s official fans’ forum.
