“Billy Was Born with a Heart Disease…” Jimmy Kimmel, Who Just Welcomed Son Reveals

America television host, Jimmy Kimmel, welcomed a son with his wife less than two weeks ago. Sadly, what was supposed to be a moment of joy soon turned to panic as a few minutes after delivery it was discovered that the baby had a rare heart condition known as Tetralogy of Fallot.
In an emotional monologue on his show, Jimmy Kimmel told the story of his son’s harrowing first few days after being diagnosed with rare and potentially dangerous cardiac defects. He was in tears as he talked about finding out his son was in a critical condition and had to have immediate surgery. The boy, who has been Christened William but is called Billy, had his pulmonary valve completely blocked at birth and there’s also a hole in the left and right sides of his heart.
An open heart surgery was done three days after Billy was born to fix two of the defects and it was successful, but that’s not the end. He’ll have another open heart surgery in three-to-six months to close the holes and another again when he is a teenager.
