968 Fulani maids to undergo milk processing training in Kano

The Kano State Executive Council has approved the training of 968 Fulani milk maids on modern milk processing and storage.

Two maids from each of the 484 wards in the 44 local governments of the state will benefit from the training under the state’s empowerment project scheme.

The Director-General of the Kano State Directorate of Youth Development and Economic Empowerment, Alhaji Ado Abba Tudunwada, made this known in Kano at a media briefing.

He said the selection process would be done in collaboration with the leadership of the Fulani associations including the Miyetti Allah and Fulbe Development Association of Nigeria (FULDAN).

“Kano State government has recently approved N29 million for the training of 968 Fulani milk maids on modern milk processing and storage to reduce wastage and improve their daily income as a way of developing their economic capabilities,” he said.
