Suge Knight Says Dr. Dre Hired Hitman To Kill Him In $300 Million Lawsuit
Dr. Dre and Suge Knight have had a longstanding feud, one outlined in N.W.A’s biopic Straight Outta Compton. Now, that dispute is intensifying with a new lawsuit.
Knight
believes Dre hired a hitman to kill him on two separate occasions in
order to avoid paying him as part of their alleged lifetime management
deal, according to TMZ.
The first of these incidents took place at 1OAK nightclub in Los Angeles in 2014. Knight was shot 7 times at the club that night,
but eventually recovered from the wounds. According to the lawsuit, a
man nicknamed T-Money told the L.A. County Sheriff’s Department that Dre
paid him to kill Knight. No arrests have been made in that case.
In January
2015, Knight says the second incident took place at Tam’s Burgers in
Compton. The mogul says he believes Dre and Universal — the company
behind Straight Outta Compton — paid Cle “Bone” Sloan $300,000. TMZ reports that Knight is insinuating Bone was sent to “take care of the Suge problem.”
Suge hit Sloan with his vehicle during their run-in at Tam’s that day. There, Knight also ran over and killed his
friend Terry Carter. The former Death Row boss says that was an
accident due to the fact that he feared for his life at the time.
Knight is
now suing Dre, Apple, Universal, and Tam’s Burgers for unspecified
damages that include 30 percent of Dre’s reported $1 billion from his
Apple-Beats deal.
